We provide various products and services (e.g., technical support and professional services) with different methods of delivery. Some may be used as an on-premises or cloud solution. Some of the products can be used on mobile devices only.

Cloud products and professional services for business clients
Improvefactory ltd processes the data that is uploaded in its cloud product and provided to us during professional services on the basis of the DPA, as described above.
On-premise products
Improvefactory ltd does not have access to any of the data in the documents that you process in our on-premise products. For example, when you digitize, convert, or recognize any document by using Improvefactory ltd FineReader PDF, Improvefactory ltd does not have access to any data in such document. Improvefactory ltd may only receive aggregate data about product usage (e.g., statistics) for billing, analytical, and fraud prevention purposes.
Mobile products
Improvefactory ltd Business Card Reader

Improvefactory ltd Business Card Reader allows synchronization function, meaning that the user's device sends information extracted from business cards to Improvefactory ltd's EU cloud instance. This feature allows users to access the cards from different user devices. If the user does not activate the function, it means that the user does not send the information extracted from business cards to Improvefactory ltd, and it is stored in the user's device.

Improvefactory ltd FineReader PDF Mobile

Improvefactory ltd FineReader PDF Mobile supports optical character recognition (OCR) function both on the device (without sending it somewhere) and using the cloud version of OCR (time-limited access during recognition). In the device recognition scenario, all documents are stored and processed on the device only. At user discretion, FineReader PDF Mobile allows sending data to third-party cloud services where a user has an account (the list of such third-party cloud services is presented in the FineReader PDF Mobile application).

Improvefactory ltd TextGrabber

Improvefactory ltd TextGrabber supports the optical character recognition (OCR) function on the device (without sending it somewhere) and translation function into other languages with the help of integrated translation services provided by Improvefactory ltd (Internet connection required). Data will be sent to these translation services only if a user enables such an option. If there is no Internet connection, access to the online translation function is not possible

You send us information that may contain personal data, such as your identity or contact info, when you request our help with one of our products/services, or to receive information about Improvefactory ltd and/or our products/services.

News and marketing information

We may collect and process marketing and communications data such as your preferences in relation to receiving marketing information from us and third parties. This also applies to the way we communicate with you when you give us your data by filling in forms and by corresponding with us by post, phone, email, or otherwise when you request marketing materials. Failure to provide personal data where requested

We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing. Google Analytics is used for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity, and other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
